The adapter is not found

The app looks only for Bluetooth LE adapters with the FFF0 service (OBDLink CX, vLinker BM+/MC+/FS and most ELM327 BLE clones). Classic Bluetooth and Wi-Fi adapters cannot connect to an iPhone. Plug the adapter in, turn the ignition on and tap “Search again” on the Adapter screen.

Connected, but no numbers

While the car sits in Park with the engine off, the gateway stays silent — that is normal. Driving and still nothing? Send a drive log (below).

How to send a drive log

Settings → Log → “Diagnostics”, drive 10–15 minutes with CarPlay, then Settings → Help the project → “Send the last drive”. The system share sheet opens: pick Mail and the address support@tachwire.app. Inside: car readings, the GPS route and adapter connection events, usually 1–5 MB. Nothing is sent on its own.

A reading looks wrong

Tell us which one, which car and adapter, and attach a log. That is how the oil temperature ceiling of the standard OBD value on the B58 and a dozen smaller things were found.

CarPlay shows tiles, not a drawn dashboard

For now the app holds only Apple’s Driving Task entitlement: the CarPlay screens are built from system templates. Drawn dashboards arrive with the navigation entitlement.

My car is not a BMW G-series

Only the G-series (2018+) is supported for now. Standard OBD readings may work on other cars, BMW modules will not.
